His friend and lieutenant Iago, empowered by a consuming envy, brilliantly plays on Otello's fatal weakness—jealousy—in his quest to destroy him. Shakespeare's heart-wrenching tragedy is served magnificently by Giuseppe Verdi's score from February 3rd until February 28th.
