The Royal Ontario Museum is home to world-renowned collections of art, archaeology, science and nature. Since it's opening in 1914 the ROM has proved it literally has something for everyone as generations of children and adults have trooped through the museum. Galleries are devoted to: Dinosaurs, Egyptian antiquities, European period rooms, Hands On Biodiversity as well as major traveling exhibitions from around the globe.

The museum is currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion project, dubbed the "Renaissance ROM". The centerpiece of this massive renovation was finally opened to the public in June 2007. With it's opening, the prism-shaped Michael Lee-Chin Crystal has transformed the ROM and the city of Toronto. The bright and dramatic new expansion is definitely a sight that shouldn't be missed.

* Some galleries are currently closed due to the ongoing Renaissance ROM expansion. It's best to visit http://www.rom.on.ca for updated and current information.

Note: Daily guided gallery tours are free with admission.
