There are three Toronto locations for Essence du Papier, the paper specialty shop that originates from the province next door. The chain offers a unique and beautiful supply of papers, stationery, greeting cards, wrapping paper and gift bags. Plus, these stores offer more than just paper… shoppers can also find stunning photo albums, pens and gift items galore filling the shelves in each of the locations. In the heart of Yorkville shoppers can find Paper Things which is a project of the volunteer committee for The National Ballet of Canada. All profits from the store are donated to the Build-A-Ballet Fund which benefits The National Ballet of Canada. The main highlight of the shop is their large selection of colourful paper. There is a great selection to choose from which can all be found within their fine paper area.  It houses a massive selection of paper, cards and envelopes. Discerning shoppers can also find a large selection of occasion cards, wrapping paper, journals, plush toys for children and other fine gifts throughout the store.

Tucked in the Carrot Commons on the Danforth creative shoppers will truly love Pulp. Locals often head here for the shop’s endless supply of greeting cards (and trust us there are a lot!) but there is much more to the little shop then Birthday and Anniversary cards… There is also a fair amount of beautiful paper to choose from. A quick warning for anyone who is an impulse buyer: this could be a dangerous place, especially if you have a sense of humor. There’s tons of fun and playful extras spread throughout the tiny space that are sure to put a smile on your face.

Hidden over on Pleasant Boulevard you will find Paperboy a shop devoted to all things paper, cards and great gifts. There are a ton of stationery options for those on the hunt for beautiful paper but the shelves are also stocked high with gifts and tons of knick knacks. We spotted gifts that would be perfect for pretty much everyone on  your list.  The gift options here are more on the humorous side making this one of the more fun stops for the shopper who is on the hunt for all things paper.

Formerly known as The Japanese Paper Place this tiny little Queen West paradise re-invented themselves simply as The Paper Place not too long ago. Don’t worry you can still find an endless supply of beautiful and versatile paper and paper-related products that the store is known for. Shoppers will find unique paper and card stock from around the world as well as an unbelievable supply of Japanese papers, crafting supplies, brushes and more. The shop is small but the shelves are filled with unique products and simply scream colour! Not just an endless supply of individual sheets or stacks of decorative pages you can also find journals and unique gift items for anyone.

Toronto’s The Papery actually has two locations to choose from. The first location is on Cumberland in the heart of Yorkville and a second location, which was opened years after, can be found on Yonge Street just south of St. Clair. Both locations offer a wide variety of paper products from both local artisan’s and from designers from all around the world. The paper selection is impressive as one would expect based on the name.  A quick head up... there also a large amount of space in both stores which is dedicated to a variety of gifts and personal products including address books, pens, journels and more.

Both Toronto locations of Write Impressions are cute, quirky and filled with fantastic stationery and cards. There are gorgeous paper options for journaling and creating or simply framing. The two locations seem to have shifted their offerings slightly over time and have both become stores where the creative shopper can not only find beautiful paper for some old fashioned letter writing or crafting but they can also find unique gifts for the holidays, showers and for the home. There are also Write Impressions locations outside of Toronto including Oakville, Waterloo and Hamilton.
