Heading north on Yonge Street before you hit Bloor you will come across the family run Cosmetic World the favored supply store for many stylists in the city. At first glance it may seem a bit cluttered but you can pretty much be guaranteed to find any brand of styling product somewhere on the shelves. Salon supplies, hair dyes and makeup are all in abundance. Plus, head towards the back and you will find a massive collection of wigs and hair pieces.

Since 1937 Toronto Barber and Beauty Supply (TBBS) has been supplying professional salons with hairdressing and beauty supplies and now they have opened their own outlet centers. There are locations in Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton and North York. Of course our fave is the conveniently located store on the corner of Bay and Dundas. It may look small but inside you will find a wide range of professional quality products sold at affordable prices. Brand names available include: Andis, Bain De Terre, Clairol, Dikson, Fermodyl-Interactives, Flair, Infusium, Noble, Nucleic A, Revlon, Roux, Schwarzkopf and of course Wella.

After 15 years Trade Secrets' flagship location has undergone a make-over of its own and we love it. The newly renovated retail location will offer an additional 400 square feet of space, filled with hair care products, (Matrix, KMS, Joico, Redken, TIGI, AG and Sebastian) hair care appliances, (hair straighteners, curling irons, blow dryers, hot rollers, large assortment of hair brushes and accessories) as well as numerous brands of make-up and nail care products. Co-owners Frank and Mary have created a friendly environment, priding themselves in offering top-quality service to all their clients. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable which is the added bonus given the hustle environment at the Eaton Centre. And then there is the newly expanded salon area which offers more than just your standard cut and color. Waxing, threading, manicures and piercing are also available.
