About the Introduction class:
One of Chinese brush painting's fundamental principles is to see the great in the small and the small in the perspective of the great. Four thousand years old, the brush techniques of this Chinese painting genre will teach and develop line drawing techniques, stylized expressions of shade and texture, dotting methods and much more.
About the Intermediate class
To achieve the form of Chinese painting is only the beginning. To attain its essence is a joyful challenge. The ancient wisdom of the "Six Cannons" provides an excellent roadmap to appreciate the poetic beauty of Chinese painting. They help us see more than you look at, and feel more than you see. Basic foundations of Chinese brush painting will be an asset to this intermediate course.
Instructor William Ho is an internationally recognized artist, known for his Chinese brush painting. His work has been exhibited at the ROM and around the world.
