Fostering a love of books from a young age, Deanna can often be seen walking and reading at the same time. Accidents are usually averted at the very last moment. When she's not got her nose in a book, she's writing her own: abridged classics for kids and a never-ending “novel” project of her own keep her fairly busy. A published poet, Deanna also spins words out onto the web on an almost-daily basis on her blog, My Tragic Right Hip.

Over the last ten years, she’s written for websites, first writing for such groundbreaking sites like Television Without Pity and Chicklit.com, but also for Alliance Atlantis, Random House and now HarperCollins Canada.
